Scientific, Manufacturing and Innovation Enterprise "IVA" Ltd (IVA Ltd) was founded in 1991 on the basis of the research laboratory of the Chemistry department of Ural State University of Economics (USUE). The team of IVA Ltd. is USUE researchers and engineers, Professor Braininas apprentices.
IVA Ltd. is engaged in:
  • research work in the field of electrochemical processes investigation;
  • creation of original electrochemical sensor prototypes for environmental monitoring and monitoring of the organism status on the basis of the research results;
  • development, manufacturing and sale of analytical equipment, sensors, analysis techniques and corresponding software.

Tasks to be solved:
  1. Analysis of natural and waters, technological solutions:
    1. determination of heavy metal concentration in natural waters including sea-waters, industrial wastes for environment contamination monitoring purposes
    2. detection of chlorinated (ozonated) waters oxidant activity, determination of dissolved chlorine (ozone) concentration and their derivatives for water disinfection process automation.
  2. quality control of foodstuffs, drugs, nutrients:
    1. heavy metal content in foodstuffs;
    2. antioxidant activity of foodstuffs, nutrients (both final product and production process);
    3. investigation of antioxidant/oxidant activity of drugs, both being manufactured and newly developed. Investigation objects are: compounds containing groups which are able to cut off chain reactions of peroxide oxidation, compounds oxygen carriers.
  3. Development of the new classes of electrochemical enzyme free sensors for the determination of:
    1. biogenic amines ( urea and creatinin) in which hybrid catalytic biorecognizing compounds immobilized on carbon containing transducer serve as electrochemical receptors;
    2. viruses of infection diseases, pathogenic microorganisms, their specific antibodies, immunocomplexes antigen antibody in which A protein compounds marked with metal nano particles, complexes of pathogenic microorganism or antibody with magnetic nanomarkers serve as information generating centres.
  4. Development methods and techniques of analysis and instruments for:
    1. evaluation of oxidant/antioxidant status of the organism with the aim of oxidizing stress early diagnostics and monitoring;
    2. evaluation of thiol-disulfide equilibrium in biologic liquids;
    3. determination of essential and toxic element content in blood and its fractions;
    4. determination of urea and creatinin in blood plasma and dialysis liquid;
    5. express diagnostics of infection diseases.
